About Our Service

Mental health services & counseling

At AAA Wellness and Rehab Inc., we work with individuals who are coping with a variety of mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and grief. AAA Wellness and Rehab Inc utilizes an eclectic approach with clients, using a combination of the following evidence-based techniques.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a type of psychotherapy in which negative patterns of thought about the self and the world are challenged in order to alter unwanted behavior patterns or treat mood disorders such as depression. This form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy’s main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. A dialectical approach focuses on developing the ability to identify and look at different viewpoints, challenge your assumptions, and balance between your changing outlook and accepting situations as they are to create new perceptions and perspectives to help you move forward and lead a happier life.

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy builds upon the principles of cognitive therapy by using techniques such as mindfulness meditation to teach people to consciously pay attention to their thoughts and feelings without placing any judgments upon them.

Motivational Enhancement Therapy

Motivational Enhancement Therapy is a counseling approach that helps individuals resolve their ambivalence about engaging in treatment and stopping their drug use. This approach aims to evoke rapid and internally motivated change, rather than guide the patient stepwise through the recovery process.

Emotion-focused Therapy

Emotion-focused Therapy focuses on lead therapist and client toward strategies that promotes the awareness, acceptance, expression, utilization, regulation, and transformation of emotion as well as corrective emotional experience with the therapist. The goals of Emotion-focused Therapy are strengthening the self, regulating affect, and creating new meaning.

Behavioural Activation

Behavioral activation is an approach to mental health that focuses on using behaviors to “activate” pleasant emotions. The idea is that by putting action first, a person does not need to wait to feel motivated, but they can still gain the benefits that the action has on their well-being.

Facilitated Twelve-Step

Twelve-step facilitation is an active engagement strategy designed to increase the likelihood of an individual becoming affiliated with and actively involved in 12-step self-help groups. While the efficacy of 12-step programs (and 12-step facilitation) in treating alcohol dependence has been established, the research on other areas is more preliminary but promising for helping individuals sustain recovery.

Anger Management

Anger management therapy techniques can involve understanding your triggers and responses to anger, learning strategies to manage or diffuse it, and changing thoughts and attitudes related to anger.

Our commitment

As part of our commitment, we begin with a psychological assessment that can help us understand you better, clarify diagnostic issues, collaborate to identify areas of focus based on your goals and values, and guide the development of a personalized treatment plan.
